These terms apply when you use showuphandyman.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms are not a work agreement. Nothing on this site is a price, a quote or a promise to do work, and sending a request does not book an appointment or create any obligation on either side. We do work only under a written estimate that you approve. If that estimate and these terms ever conflict, the estimate controls.
1Estimates and scheduling
Prices are given only in a written estimate, after we have seen the details of the job. Service areas, the list of services and reply times on this site describe how we usually work. They are not guarantees, and we may decline any job.
2The chat assistant
The chat assistant is an automated AI tool, not a person. It answers general questions about Show Up Handyman and can make mistakes. It does not give prices, schedule work or give repair, safety, code or permit advice, and nothing it says is a commitment by Show Up Handyman. If the chat and a written estimate disagree, the written estimate controls.
3What you send us
You keep ownership of anything you send through the site, including photos. By sending it, you allow us to use it to review your request, prepare an estimate and do the work.
Only send photos of property you own or are allowed to photograph, and avoid including people or personal documents. Information you send is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
4Our content and marks
The text, design, graphics and code of this site belong to Show Up Handyman. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not copy, republish or reuse our content, name or marks without our written permission.
5Acceptable use
When using this site, you agree not to:
- break any law;
- try to get unauthorized access to the site or any connected system, or get around any security measure;
- probe, scan or test the site for weaknesses;
- send false information, pretend to be someone else, or send another person’s details without their permission;
- use automated tools to scrape the site, flood the forms or the chat, or place unreasonable load on the site; or
- try to make the chat assistant ignore its instructions, or use it for anything other than questions about Show Up Handyman.
6Availability
We may change, pause or remove any part of this site at any time without notice. We do not promise the site will always be available or free of errors.
7No warranty
THE SITE, ITS CONTENT AND THE CHAT ASSISTANT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
This section is about the website only. Any warranty on work we perform is set out in your written estimate or agreement.
8Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, SHOW UP HANDYMAN AND ITS OWNER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THIS SITE OR THE CHAT ASSISTANT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THIS SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
This section does not cover work we perform, which is governed by your written estimate or agreement. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.
10Severability
If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, that part will be limited or removed only as much as needed, and the rest will stay in effect.
